Obituary

Gilbert A. Starling, Sr., 80 of Wolcottville died Friday, September 19, 2008 at 9:34 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange, where he had been since May.

Mr. Starling was a long distance truck driver whom had lived in Wolcottville for the past five years coming from Denver, Colorado, where he had lived most of his adult life coming from his childhood home in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of the US Army.

He was born on August 1, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to William W. & Katherine (Montgomery)Starling. He married Cecelia Sleeper on August 3, 1953 in California, she survives in Wolcottville.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy & Greg Day of Wolcottville; three sons, Gilbert A. Starling, Jr. of Wolcottville, James L. Starling and Brian R. Starling both of Denver Colorado, seven grandchildren, and a sister Alma Joyce Jennings of Texas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Starling in 2003, a brother and a sister.
