Calling: Saturday, March 8, 2014 - 1 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home **************************************************************************************** Geraldine M. "Geri" Sarber, 103, of Kendallville died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 3:20 a.m. in Lutheran Life Village, Kendallville.
She moved to this area from Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Sarber and her husband owned and operated the Lakeside Laundry & Dry Cleaning Village in Kendallville.
Geri was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kendallville.
She was born December 29, 1910, in Fort Wayne to James D. and Ina (Maxwell) Case.
On August 27, 1940, in Fort Wayne she married Christian R. Sarber. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Sally B. Babcock Harrod of Kendallville; four granddaughters, Linda (Babcock) and Robert Kunkel of Kendallville, Terri Babcock of Fort Wayne, Jean (Babcock) and Jim Hessler of Fort Wayne, and Diana (Babcock) and Brian Heil of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; six great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; three nephews, James Case of Newbury, Mike Case of LaGrange, and James Sarber of Claypool; and two nieces, Beverly and Jerry Davidson of Fort Wayne and Sara Bridger of Plano, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vesta Case and a brother, James M. "Bud" Case; and a son-in-law, Nelson Harrod.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 4 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Jordy Truman and Rev. Stan Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
