Obituary

Geraldine M. Heingartner, 94, of Kendallville and formerly of Wolcottville died Sunday, July 11, 2010, in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Kendallville.

Mrs. Heingartner was a homemaker and a partner along with her husband in Heingartner Dry Cleaning in downtown Fort Wayne, and then in later years moved to Five Points Dry Cleaners also in Fort Wayne. She was a long time member of the Lutheran church.

She was born August 14, 1915, in Adrian, Michigan, to Henry Richard and Mabelle L. (Jordan) Beck. On November 6, 1933, in Elkhart she married George F. Heingartner. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1985.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Lytal of California and Wayne Lytal of Fort Wayne and Donna and Paul Eugene Springer of Ashley; three sons and daughters-in-law, Marshal Dean and Hannelore Heingartner of Auburn, Daniel G. and Jane Heingartner of Wolcottville and Donald and Loretta Heingartner of Albion; 19 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Susan Socha of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in LaOtto officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
