Obituary

Geraldine "Gerry" Peters Bodkin died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the emergency room at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Mrs. Bodkin was a teacher at Head Start in Garrett for six years. She served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. She was a member of LaOtto Wesleyan Church in LaOtto. She also graduated from Ivy Tech with high honors. She was born April 7, 1954, in Bronx, New York to Gerald Esposito and Rose (Caldararo) Esposito. Her father survives in New Port Rickey, FL and her mother survives in Avilla, IN. She was married to Fred Bodkin, he died in 2005. Along with her parents she is also survived by a daughter Stacy Jorge in Palm Bay, FL; a son John F. Peters, II in Tempe, AZ; a granddaughter Isabelle L. Jorge in Palm Bay; and a brother Vincent Esposito. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred and a brother Michael Esposito. "She will be met in Heaven by those who preceded her." A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at LaOtto Wesleyan Church with Pastors Tyler Ward and Lois Watkins officiating. Memorials are to the American Heart Association and to LaOtto Wesleyan Church.
