Gerald W. Nay, 87, of Kendallville, Indiana died Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

He was born November 10, 1938, in Greenwood, Indiana to Ralph and Mary Edith (Marshall) Nay.

He married Sharon McClain. She preceded him in death on February 25, 2019.

Gerald had been a business manager and loan officer at several businesses including Danner’s Inc. in Ligonier. He retired from Kroger.

He found joy in his work and never missed a chance to cheer on IU sports. He attended Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth “Lisa” Nay of Bristol; a grandson, Evan Nay; and a granddaughter, Reagan Nay.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

There will be no visitation or funeral services.
