Obituary

George Don Robinson, Sr., 75, of Albion died Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 7:15 a.m. in North Ridge Village Nursing Home, Albion, where he had resided the past six months.

George was formerly a Fort Wayne native, and had lived in Tampa, Florida, for 20 years. He and his wife returned to the Albion area in 2005. He had worked in building maintenance at Wayne Metal in Fort Wayne for 20 years and North Gate Lincoln Mercury in Tampa for 10 years.

He was born February 22, 1932, in Fort Wayne to Edward and Frieda (Hughes) Robinson. On February 15, 1955, in New Haven he married Ellen Sills.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen Robinson of Albion; two sons and daughters-in-law, George D. Robinson, Jr. and Gail Robinson of Melrose, Massachusetts, and William E. and Paula Robinson of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Jeffery Robinson, Jessica Robinson, Cody Jarrard Robinson, and Travis Robinson; one sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jim Miller of Albion; and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Robinson of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia House, and two brothers, Fred Robinson and Ted Robinson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 15. 2007, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Jeffrey Hipley of New Hope Baptist Church, Kendallville, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne. Casketbearers will be George D. Robinson, Jr., Brent Romines, Ronald Romines, Verne Romines, Stanley Thomas, Harold Harris, Jeffery Robinson, and Austin Romines.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2007, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to North Ridge Village Nursing Home, 600 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, Indiana, 46701.
