George Andrew Myers, 77, of Auburn died Sunday, October 29, 2017, at his residence.
He was born March 15, 1940, in Walnut Creek, California, to Alvin G. and Mildred C. (Northup) Myers.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1958 to 1962.
Mr. Myers worked in the construction business and was a member of the Carpenter's Union.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen (Randolph) LaHaie of Wolcottville and Melinda Marie (Dale Herbst) Myers of Wolcottville; a son, George A. (Bambi) Myers, Jr. of Shelby, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Jones of Florida; and four brothers, Jerry Myers of Texas, Richard Myers of Kentucky, Jim (Donna) Myers of Orland, and Harold Myers of South Milford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry Myers; and a grandson.
Graveside services will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. at East Springfield Cemetery, US 20 and County Road 1050 E, LaGrange.
Military graveside services will be provided by Rome City American Legion Post 381, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, and Kendallville American Legion Post 86.
Preferred memorials are to Disabled American Veterans or to Wounded Warrior Project.
Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
