Calling: Thursday, March 21, 2013 - 3 to 7 p.m. in the church ********************************************************************** George A. Harmon, 65, of Wawaka died Sunday, March 17, 2013, as the result of an auto accident on U.S. 6 near Wawaka.

He had lived in Wawaka for a year. Prior to that he lived in Ligonier for 10 years, coming from Kentucky.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.

George had a passion for playing the guitar and singing for churches. He loved to fish.

He was born May 29, 1947, in Rudolph, Ohio to Carl and Louise (Clark) Harmon. On November 27, 1970, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky he married Laura Bell Clemons.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Bell Harmon of Wawaka; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Darin (Jamie)Harmon of Ligonier and Jason Harmon of Wawaka; two grandsons, Austin Harmon and Braiden Harmon; two sisters, Naomi (Paul) Napier of Paintsville, Kentucky and Loretta Manns of Decoy, Kentucky; two brothers, Ronald Harmon of Evanston, Kentucky and Clair (Sandy) Harmon of Findlay, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Harmon; and two brothers, Raymond Harmon and Larry Harmon.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Wolcottville Church of God with Pastor Gene Suffridge officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Honor guard services will be provided by Rome City American Legion Post 381, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, and active duty members of the U.S. Army.

Calling is Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the church.
