Obituary

Garry "Pokey" McKain, 61, of Kendallville died Monday, April 5, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. McKain had been ailing for more than five years. He had worked at Dalton Foundry in Kendallville, and had served as union steward. He had previously worked as the maintenance man for Jay Varner's trailer park in Wolcottville.

He was born March 20, 1949, in Hanover, New Jersey, to Dalbert & Gerda (Woehle) McKain.

There are no survivors.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 9, 2010, at 12 noon in the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Rev. Leon Pomeroy of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Casketbearers will be Don Ramey, Larry Polly, Marion Ritchie, Phil Short, David DePew, and Jerry Wolfe.

Calling will be from 10 - noon on Friday in the funeral home.
