Frances V. Wolf, 89, of Oldsmar, Florida, and formerly of Avilla died Saturday, October 16, 2010, in Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Mrs. Wolf had lived in Florida 15 years, coming from Avilla. While living in Avilla, she was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxilliary. For many years she worked in the office of the Avilla News and the office of the Town Clerk. She also worked part-time in the office of the Community United Methodist Church in Oldsmar, Florida, where she was a member.
She was born April 11, 1921, in Sioux City, Iowa to Orlando Harold and Mary Hazel (McNealy) Tremaine. On January 20, 1946, in Fort Logan, Colorado, she married Charles Frederick Wolf. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1991.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Wolf of Kendallville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Rich Vendrely of Sebring, Florida, Pat and Max Cleland of Oldsmar, Florida, and Debra Wolf of Holiday, Florida; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Community United Methodist Church in Oldsmar, Florida, on Saturday, November 6. Burial will be in Avilla Lutheran Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 20, at 2 p.m. at the graveside at Avilla Lutheran Cemetery.
