Obituary

Faye G. McClellan, 90, of Kendallville died at 10:50 am Monday, March 3, 2008, at Shepherd of the Hill Nursing Home. Mrs. McClellan enjoyed being with her family, embroidery, fishing, flowers and gardening. Faye was a lifetime area resident. She worked for 16 years at Universal Friction in Kendallville and 15 ½ years as a Nurses Aid at the Lutheran Home. She was born December 18, 1917, in Kendallville, to Walter W. and Mary Elizabeth (Harris) Greenwalt. She married Vernon C. McClellan in November, 1933. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1984. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia and Richard Hammel of Kendallville; Lorraine Allen of Indianapolis; and Rita M. and Carl Rose of Kendallville; twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Lee McClellan and Nancy Lee McClellan; three sons, Leland V. McClellan; Max A. McClellan; and Marvin C. McClellan; three sisters, Bertha Hoover, Wava Drake, and Violet Hall; and one brother, Warren Greenwalt. Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2008, at 1:30 pm at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Percy Young officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. Casketbearers will Roy Heinke, Aaron Heinke, Gabriel Argueta, Miles Sierk, Lee McClellan, Tim Tackett, Chad Waugh, Gavin Heinke.
