No visitation or service; Burial in Danville, Illinois ************************************************************************ Evanvern H. "Van" LaMore, 85, of Kendallville, IN and formerly of Danville, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10:09 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.

He was born October 9, 1928, in Danville, IL to Edward and Mable (Hartman) LaMore.

He married Peggy Hiatt in 1946.

He is survived by five children, Jeff (Jean) LaMore of Prescott, AZ, Rex (Kathy) LaMore of Williamston, MI, Jamie (Steve) Tuggle of Kendallville, IN, Van Eric LaMore of Augusta, MA, and Douglas (Helen) LaMore of Oceanside, CA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy LaMore; his parents; a brother; and a sister.

Burial will be in Danville, IL.

He retired as an auditor for General Motors.

Van enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling, and eating barbeque ribs with his secret sauce.

A private celebration of his life is being planned for a future date.
