Obituary

Eugene G. Weber, 90, of Kendallville died Friday, April 1, 2016, at home.

He was a farmer on the same family farm that has been held for well over 120 years and included an award-winning Guernsey dairy herd.

Mr. Weber was a member of the Wayne Center United Methodist Church near Kendallville.

Eugene loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His hobby was gardening, including roses, orchids in his greenhouse, and raspberries in his garden. His greatest love was farming and he was able to combine last fall's crop.

He was born August 16, 1925, in Wayne Township, Noble County to Charles A. and Joyce (Swogger) Weber.

On August 18, 1946, in Brown City, Michigan, he married Gloria J. Kugler. She preceded him in death on August 7, 1992.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Mike) Poyser of Kendallville; two sons, Denny (Barb) Weber of Kendallville and Larry (Lois) Weber of Kendallville; four grandchildren, Laura Weber, Lisa (Jason) Warnken, Lindsey (Aaron) Sanders, and Logan Weber; nine great-grandchildren, Natalie, John Paul, Eva, Anna, Katie, Jack, Judah, Toby, and Evan; and two brothers, Carl (Marge) Weber of Kendallville and Dale (Marie Farone) Weber of Fort Wayne.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Gene Flickinger officiating and assisted by Rev. Ken Walker. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Pallbearers will be Larry Weber, Logan Weber, Denny Weber, Mike Poyser, Hal Schuman, and Sandy Schuman.

Calling is Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Wayne Center United Methodist Church.
