PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DAY OF SERVICE:

Eugene Ronald Vincent Sorg, 74, of Kendallville died Saturday, February 6, 2010, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

Mr. Sorg had worked at the Kendallville Foundry in Kendallville. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born June 30, 1935, in Fort Wayne to Bernard J. and Mildred Ann (Felt) Sorg. He was married April 12, 1969, in Kendallville to Dianna Louise (Ross) Sorg. She preceded him in death on February 1, 1991.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons-in law, Melinda and Sherman Hicks of Wawaka and Crystal and Tom Collins of Kendallville; one sister, Norma Kirk of Avilla; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vern Sorg; one sister, Linda; and one grandson, Andrew.

Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2010, however, due to the weather, the funeral services will be THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Mike Howard officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
