Obituary
Eugene Lester Pankop, 84, of Fort Wayne died Monday, May 28, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. at University Park in Fort Wayne.
He was born March 14, 1934, in Corunna to Herman Herbert and Henrietta (Hasselman) Pankop.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962.
On December 2, 1967, in Bluffton he married Shirley Stagg. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2012.
Mr. Pankop retired as a truck driver for Hiner Transport in Huntington.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Deborah (Rich) Tuttle of Fort Wayne; four step grandchildren; and 11 step great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Pankop, Eleanor Treesh, and Dorothy Bender; and three brothers, Don Pankop, Dale Pankop and Wayne Pankop.
Private burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, West Fairfield, Corunna.
Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
