Local businessman, Estill Miller, 80, of Rome City, Indiana, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at his residence.
He was born January 10, 1942, in Perry County, Kentucky, to Johnny and Sadie (Combs) Miller.
He was the owner and operator of Miller Backhoe Service in Rome City, a company he started in 1971.
Mr. Miller was a former member of the Moose Lodge and a supporter of Moosehart, a residential childcare facility. He was also a member of Rome City American Legion Post 381, Sons of the Legion.
Estill enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR and sports on television. He dearly loved time with family, cookouts, and watching his grandchildren ride the ATV.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Miller-Fugate and Homer Fugate of Albion; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jay Miller and Stephanie Young-Miller of Wolcottville; five grandchildren, Danyelle (Roy, Jr.) Currier, Matthew (Dayanna) Coker, Adam (September) Coker, Sadie Miller, and Nicholas Folmer; two great-grandchildren, Tinsley and Bexley; two sisters, Veda Bowlin of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Patty Cole of West Liberty, Kentucky; and two brothers, Paul (Brenda) Miller of Rome City and Albert Miller of West Liberty, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheree Miller on February 23, 2018; a sister, Wilda Miller; and two brothers, Clifford Miller and Johnny Wayne Miller.
Vistation is Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Estill's funeral service will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Walter of the South Milford Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
Pallbearers are Nick Folmer, Jason Miller, Roy Currier, Jr., Mike Knapp, Tim Knapp, and Bobby Wayne Miller.
