Elmer Hall, Sr., 77, of Kendallville died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at 2:02 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born June 27, 1941, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Bill and Ida (Slone) Hall.
He moved to this area in 1966, coming from Kentucky.
On July 3, 1970, in Kendallville he married Teresa A. Gose.
Mr. Hall was a carpenter at Wible Lumber in South Milford and had also worked at Reliable Production Machining and Welding in Kendallville.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa A. Hall of Kendallville; two sons, Elmer (Trisha) Hall, Jr. of Ashley and Matthew Hall of Kendallville; a daughter, Angela (Anthony) Terry of Avilla; five grandchildren, Dylan Hall, Devin Hall, Keira Hall, Kristen Hall, and Kacey Hall; a step grandson, Coleton Terry; a step great-grandson, Nolan Terry; and six brothers, Norman (Persolee) Hall of Garner, Kentucky, Gordon Hall of Hindman, Kentucky, Woodrow (Janice) Hall of Pippa Passes, Kentucky, Grady (Guyan) Hall of Kendallville, Thomas (Linda) Hall of Garner, Kentucky, and Roger (Linda) Hall of Garner, Kentucky; and a sister, Vertele Calhoun of Hindman, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Hall.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Willie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery near Stroh.
Pallbearers are Matt Hall, Elmer Hall, Jr., Dylan Hall, Anthony Terry, Anthony Gose, Jr. and Phillip Stacy.
Calling is Thursday, July 19, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
