Obituary

Ellen Gamble, 86, of Corunna died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 5:45 p.m. in Kendallville.

Mrs. Gamble moved to this area from Kentucky in 1953. She was a homemaker.

She was born October 6, 1922, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Clifton and Ruthie (Short) Mosley. She was married to Loss Gamble. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Harry "Pinky" Gamble, Sr. and Diane Gamble of Wolcottville and Roger Gamble, Sr. of Corunna; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, two great grandchildren, a brother, and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 6, 2009, at 12:00 noon in Harbor of Love Church, Kendallville, with Pastor Charles Mosley, Pastor Phillip Lucas, and Pastor Birtchel Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Calling will be Sunday, April 5, 2009, after 4:00 p.m. at the church. Evening services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
