Obituary

Edna A. Murfree, 101, of Wolcottville died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 5:20 p.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

Mrs. Murfree was a bookkeeper for American Heating in Villa Park, Illinois, a family owned business. She moved to this area 11 years ago, coming from Villa Park. She attended the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville.

She was born May 21, 1909 in Forest Park, Illinois, to Frank and Augusta (Datte) Sonnenberg. She married Charles D. Murfree. He preceded her in death in December, 1984.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. and Bud Rea of Wolcottville; a son and daughter-in-law, C. Dickinson and Bonnie Murfree of Kendallville; three grandsons, William Murfree, Robert Murfree, and Hardy Murfree; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Cooper. Burial will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery, in Elmhurst, Illinois. There will be no local services.
