Obituary

Edith E. "Edie" Buss, 78, of Ligonier died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at 7:02 p.m. in Avalon Village Care Center, Ligonier, Indiana. She had been ill since June, 2004.

Edith was born December 12, 1928, in Ege, Indiana, to William & Alta (Harrold) Buss. She was a graduate of Avilla High School. On April 15, 1968, in Brimfield, Indiana, she married Walter Lee Buss. She was employed at Starcraft RV in Topeka, Indiana, for 22 years. She and her husband were members of the Starcraft Camping Club since 1978, and enjoyed travelling.

Surviving are her husband Walter of Ligonier; a daughter, Sue Ann Birch of Albion, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Lori D. Buss of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two stepsons, Roger A. Buss and Jeff L. Buss both of Butler, Indiana; two granddaughters, Kristina Cochran of Shelby Twp., Michigan, and Sheila West of Santa Rosa, California; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Fordyce of Wolcottville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Alouise Moore.

Services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel with Rev. Carldean Merrifield officiatiing. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
