Eddie Dean Senter, 64, of Ligonier went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ onTuesday, December 11, 2012, at 7:55 p.m. in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen.
He was employed by Keystone in Goshen for three years. Prior to that he worked at Lyon and Greenleaf Grainery in Ligonier for many years. He spent his life in maintenance. Eddie could fix and repair anything put before him.
He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Kimmell where he served as a deacon.
Eddie enjoyed salmon fishing in Ludington, Michigan, and hunting and trout fishing in the tri-county area. He enjoyed giving away his huge fishing bounty to his family, friends, and even strangers. He will be remembered by all as the kindest, most helpful man anyone could have ever known. He will truly be missed by everyone.
He was born October 26, 1948, in Squire, West Virginia, to Wiley Rose and Hazel Marie Senter. On March 5, 1966, in Lebanon, Virginia, he married Mildred Jenkins. She survives in Ligonier.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joan (Ernie) Shepard of LaGrange and Tammy (Donnie) Sanders of Ligonier; a son, Tim (Gina) Senter of Ligonier; 16 grandchildren, Mandi (Iddings) Hawn, Megan Iddings, Derek Iddings, Brock Shepard, Brett Coverstone, Kaylee Coverstone, Brian Sanders, Joe Sanders, Megan Sanders, Brittany Senter, T.J. Senter, Paige Senter, Matt Ott, Heather Ratliff, Abrahm Nowland, and Veronica Nowland; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Terry Lee Senter, Cromwell and Fred Bandy, Jr. of Cromwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Fred Bandy; a son, Eddie Dean Senter, Jr.; and a stepbrother, James D. French.
Funeral services will be Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Lighthouse Tabernacle, 65 East Noe Street, Kimmell with Pastor Glen Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.
Pallbearers will be James Jenkins, Terry Senter, Tim Senter, Don Sanders, Ernie Shepard, T.J. Senter, Derek Iddings, and Brock Shepard.
Calling is Saturday, December 15, 2012, after 3 p.m. in the church. An evening service will be held at 6 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the family.
