Private graveside services and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. ************************************************************************************ Dorthy Helen Babin Caron, 95, of Albion and formerly of Kendallville died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. in Presence Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.

She had lived in this area most of her life, coming from Iowa.

She worked at Galloway's Restaurant in Kendallville for many years, and retired from Taylor Made in Kendallville where she was a sewing machine operator.

Mrs. Caron was a member of the Church of Christ in Ligonier and the Kendallville Eagles Lodge.

She was born January 22, 1920, in Cherokee, Iowa, to William Riley and Mary Edith (Watts) Goldman.

On August 2, 1935, in Sioux City, Iowa, she married Joseph Peter Babin. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1987. Then on May 6, 1991, in Bedford, Kentucky, she married Robert L. Caron. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2003.

Surviving are a daughter, Rosie Lee Strange DeBoard of Kendallville; 11 grandchildren, Joe Caron, Valerie Christian, Carolyn (Bob) Edwards, Lisa (Larry) Stalica, Cheryl Kimmel, Davette (Bill) Miller, John (Kathy) Strange, Brianna (Doug) Yoder, Michele Babin (Mark) Stealy, Mike (Nancy) Babin, and Mark (Beth) Babin; 31 great-grandchildren; and 32 great great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Fleck; three sons, David Babin, William Babin, and John Ray Babin; and a brother, Bill Goldman.

Calling will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Private graveside services and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. Pastor James Archambeault of New Life Tabernacle in Kendallville will officiate.

Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
