Obituary

Dorothy Kay (Frech) Rebman Wheatley, 73, of Rome City died Friday, August 27, 2010, in her residence where her son, Jaye and his friend, Wendy, had been taking care of her.

Mrs. Wheatley had lived in Rome City for ten years, coming from Fort Wayne. She retired in 2007 from Hendrickson Suspension in Kendallville where she worked in shipping and receiving.

She was born October 17, 1936, in Fort Wayne to Kendall and Alice (Denzel) Frech.

Surviving are a daughter and her friend, Sherry Schroeder and Jay Gleason of Holland, Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jaye Rebman and his friend, Wendy Wood, of Wolcottville, and Michael and Kristy Rebman of Nashville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Ashley Schroeder of Michigan, Kaylie Schroeder of Holland, Ohio, Andrea Schroeder of Holland, Ohio, Jason Rebman of Nebraska, and Stephanie Grubb of Wolcottville; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Rebman on April 25, 2010; a brother, James Frech; a sister, Marsha Edwards; and two husbands, Dan Rebman and John Wheatley.

Calling will be Wednesday, September 1, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

There will be no funeral service.
