Obituary

Dorothy V. Marks, 87, of Wolcottville died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 6:35 p.m. in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Marks was a lifetime resident of Noble County. She had worked as a bookkeeper.

She was born January 21, 1923, in Jefferson Township, Noble County, Indiana, to Cecil and Ethel (Freed) Walburn. On May 23, 1942 in LaGrange, she married Harry Marks, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Chuck Siefert of Reno, Nevada, and Sue and Mike Donlon of Granger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Jan Marks, Jr. of Oklahoma and Jack and Debbie Marks of Marshallville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Bushing of Wolcottville; and one brother, Jack Walburn of Sheridan, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Marks and Robert Marks; two brothers, Ralph Walburn and Charles Walburn; and a sister, Ruth Keck.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor G. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist, Kendallville, officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery near Albion.
