Obituary

Dorothy Katherine Kay, 76, of Wolcottville died suddenly Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 7:20 p.m. in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born February 6, 1931, in Chicago to Henry & Cecilia (Bergan) Papendik. She moved to the Wolcottville area in 1981, coming from Chicago. She was the owner and operator of the Adams Lake Restaurant and Grocery until her retirement in 1994. She was married July 30, 1952, in Chicago to John Kay, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1977. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon & Robert Milashus of Plainfield, IL and Lauren Kay of Lake of the Woods, Hudson, IN; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Kay, Sr. of Wolcottville, IN, Brian Kay of Michigan, and John & Laura Kay of Centreville, MI; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel with Rev. Lee Combs officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the American Diabetes Association.
