Donna Louise Wilhelm Phares, 84, of Hudson, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1941, in LaGrange County, Indiana to Robert and Wilma Della (Northup) Wilder.

Donna married Robert Wilhelm on January 22, 1960. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1987. She then married Victor Phares on August 24, 1996. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2022.

Mrs. Phares retired after 31 years at Rieke's in Auburn.

She attended Independent Full Gospel Church in Ashley.

Donna was an accomplished musician. She first learned to play the accordion and then moved on to the piano and organ. She could play anything by ear. She also enjoyed singing, being outside tending to her flowers and mowing the lawn, animals and racing.

Surviving are two daughters, Theresa (Jack) Osborn of Angola, Tammy Hinkley of Angola; three sons, Terry (Linda) Wilhelm of Hudson, Tommy (Deb) Wilhelm of Ashley, and Tim (Kathy) Wilhelm of Angola; eleven grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, with another one on the way; a sister, Roberta Willis of Butler; and a brother, Steve Wilder of Richmond.

She was also preceded in death by her father, Robert Wilder; her mother, Wilma D. Wilder-Stores; her stepfather, Rolla E. Stores; and a sister, Lola May Fairchild.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chris Osborn, Josh Osborn, Jake Wilhelm, Jeff Hinkley, Jr., Tommy Wilhelm, Jr., and Kaleb Hinkley.
