Obituary

Donna M. (Rhodes) Hale, 69, of Kendallville died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was a lifetime area resident.

Ms. Hale began her working career at the Palace of Sweets and Teeples Studio and retired from Taylor-Made Systems all in Kendallville.

Donna was a member of the First Christian Church in Kendallville. She also was a volunteer at the Kendallville Public Library, Meals on Wheels, and the Bargain Shop. She was also active with her class reunions.

She was born November 16, 1946, in Garrett to George and Susie (Scott) Rhodes. Her parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Paula Wagner of Kendallville; a son, David (Lauren) Hale of Avilla; six grandchildren, Lindsey Wagner, Alexis Wagner, Derek Hale, Grace Hale, Colton Hale, and Josephine Hale; and three sisters, Connie (Gene) Leighty of Kendallville, Dorothy (Larry) Jarrett of Kendallville, and Norma (Larry) Kimmell of Kendallville.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church, 110 West Waits Road, Kendallville with Rev. Dr. Thomas Clothier officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

A gathering of friends will be Monday, March 7, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Noble Hospice.
