Donna S. Easterday, 86, of Leo and formerly of Fremont died Thursday, February 8, 2018, at her residence.
She was born March 22, 1931, in Danville, Illinois, to Archie and Lena (Thrapp) Stage.
On August 29, 1980, in Fort Wayne she married Lloyd L. Easterday. He survives in Leo.
Mrs. Easterday has lived in Leo for nine years, coming from Fremont.
She retired as a secretary from GTE in Fort Wayne.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Pleasant Lake.
Donna was a cat lover and enjoyed watching birds gather at the bird feeder outside her window.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynne Hammel of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Kathy (John) Mason of Battle Ground; a son, Mike (Judy) Miller of Ruskin, Florida; a stepdaughter, Coleen (Jose) Perez of Elkhart; two stepsons, Eric (Pam) Easterday of Spencerville and Gerry (Mary Ann) Easterday of Fort Wayne; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Miller; a sister, Phyllis McConnel; and a brother, Bob Stage.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 3401 South Golden Lake Road, Pleasant Lake with Pastor Tamara Gerber officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Casketbearers are Mike Miller, Jared Bradshaw, Pat Hammel, Pat Easterday, Thomas Easterday, and Bret Easterday.
Calling is Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
