Donita Jean "Dee" (Heingartner) Lawson, 41, of Fernadino Beach, Florida, and formerly of Albion died Monday, October 4, 2010, in Fernadino Beach.

Donita enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting thimbles, and painting.

She was born August 16, 1969, in Fort Wayne to Donald and Delores Jean (Winebrenner) Heingartner.

Surviving are her father and stepmother, Donald and Loretta Heingartner of Albion; her mother and stepfather, Delores Jean and Dave Carnahan of Missouri; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anita Plummer of Albion and Lori (Plummer) and Trevor Rice of Kimmell, a brother, Paul Plummer of Indianapolis; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Winebrenner of Columbia City; three aunts, Nancy and Mike Clouse of Albion, Pat Lytal of Big Bear, California, and Donna and Paul Springer of Ashley; three uncles, Terry and Brenda Winebrenner of North Carolina, Dean and Lori Heingartner of Auburn, and Dan and Jane Heingartner of Wolcottville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Geraldine (Beck) Heingartner and her maternal grandfather, Merritt Winebrenner.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Ben L. Archer and Rev. Lee Brickey of the Albion Apostolic Church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.

Calling is Friday, October 8, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
