Donald Lee "Don" Wallen, 69, of Wawaka, Indiana, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at
Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Wallen was born September 14, 1952, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Burley and Gearldene
(Terry) Wallen.
On January 20, 1973, in Wolcottville he married Vickie Lynn Davis.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Wallen retired from Topeka Graphics in Topeka.
He was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Rome City.
Don was an avid fisherman and deer hunter and enjoyed going to garage sales. Watching his
grandchildren play sports was a highlight for him.
Surviving are his wife, Vickie Wallen of Wawaka; a daughter, Naomi Dawn (Keith) Wooten of
Wolcottville; two sons, Jeremy Lee (Josephine) Wallen of Wawaka and Nathan Wallen of Rome
City; ten grandchildren, Lynnsey Wallen, Casey Wallen, Mayson Wallen, Lauren Wallen, Haylie
(Damian) Miller, Megan Wallen, Kaidence Wallen, Chase Wallen, Natalynn Wooten, and Mikia
Christian; a great-granddaughter due in June; three sisters, Gearldine Gannon of Kendallville,
Brenda Wallen of Kendallville, Jody Wallen of Kendallville; and two brothers, Dallas Wallen of
Rome City and David Wallen of Wolcottville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Charlene Wallen; and two brothers, Bobby
Wallen and Charlie Wallen.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 4 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home,
Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Johnny Huff of Hilltop Baptist
Church in Rome City officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Honor guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard and active duty members of the U.S. Army.
Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
