A devoted Chicago White Sox fan, he could always be counted on to cheer for his favorite team. One of his greatest joys was the special bond he shared with his beloved dog, Dexter, whose loyal companionship brought him comfort, happiness, and countless cherished memories. Donald will be remembered for the things he loved, the moments he shared, and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are three children, Kalesha (Boe) Savage of Howe; William (Tiffany) Wallace of Howe, and Christopher (Jordan Handrich) Wallace of Las Vegas, Nevada; the mother of his children, Karen Wallace of Howe; and two brothers, Jerry Wallace of Goshen and Jim (Jeryl) Wallace of Howe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Rosemary Bates, Larry Wallace, and Danny Wallace.
