Obituary

Donald E. Faulkner, 82, of Wolcottville died Friday, April 15, 2011, in Avalon Village, Ligonier.

Mr. Faulkner was a member of IBEW Local Union 305 in Fort Wayne. He retired as an electrician journeyman, working in construction. He was an avid sportsman.

He was born August 1, 1928, in Wawaka to Lester F. and Alma (Dukes) Faulkner. On November 3, 1946, in Wawaka he married Marie Lou Krotzer. She preceded him in death on September 22. 2010.

Surviving are three daughters, Brenda R. (Lesley) McLain of Auburn, Sandra K. Quinn of Ligonier, and Sue Ellen Faulkner of Wolcottville; a son, Daniel E. (Marilyn) Faulkner of Wolcottville; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild;

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy Lewis Faulkner; and a sister, Bette Stringfellow.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. Carldean Merrifield officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Monday, April 18, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the LaGrange County Humane Shelter.
