Obituary

Domingo Cruz-Diaz, 86, of Kendallville died at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in the VA Northern Indiana Health System in Fort Wayne. He had been ill 2 ½ weeks.

He was born June 5, 1921, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, to Juan Cruz & Sota Diaz. He had lived in Kendallville since 1998.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Domingo Cruz-Diaz, Jr. and Ruth of Kendallville; three grandchildren, Bary Cruz-Reyes, Noel Cruz, and Norman Cruz; seven great grandchildren, Carmen Cruz, Micah Cruz, Seth Cruz, Isaiah Cruz, Faith Cruz, Grace Cruz, and Jonathan Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Basilia Diaz in December, 1994, a daughter, his parents, one brother, and one sister.

There will be no local services. Burial will be in Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Arrangements are by Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
