Dolores Joan Kleinrichert, 89, of Rome City died Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence.
She was born February 26, 1932 in Fort Wayne to Edward J. Schneider, Jr. and Joan L. (Widmann) Schneider.
Dolores was a 1950 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne where she was the Valedictorian of her class.
October 18, 1952 in Fort Wayne she married Carl H. Kleinrichert. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1997.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Kleinrichert owned and operated Carl's Bait Store in Rome City.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albion where she had been the organist for many years. She was also a member of the Rosary Sodality at St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City. Dolores had also served on the board of directors for the Rome City Housing Authority and the Noble County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and she had served as the Orange Township Trustee.
Surviving are eight children, Kent (Patricia) Kleinrichert of Avondale, Arizona, Kurt (Linda) Kleinrichert of Fort Wayne, Mara Smith of Hindman, Kentucky, Carla (Mitch) Fiandt of Albion, Laura (Brian) Shull of Wolcottville, Bart (Michele) Kleinrichert of Avilla, Nina (Jeff) Muzzillo of Lake Arrowhead, Hudson, and Nita (Ryan) Dodd of Rome City; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward J. Schneider, III.
A private celebration of Dolores's life will be held at St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery in Rome City at a later date with Pastor Beverly Harkey officiating.
Preferred memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Albion 210 W. Highland St., Albion, IN 46701 or to the Noble County Humane Society, 1305 Sherman St., Kendallville, IN 46755.
