Dirk Allan Albright, 50, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Kendallville, passed away unexpectedly at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:07 p.m. from an illness.
Dirk was born on June 27, 1975, in Kendallville. Indiana, to Arthur Allan and Beverly Ann Albright.
He is survived by his three children, a son, Tharon Albright and his grandson, Carl Albright; a daughter, Shelby (Luis Rebolledo) Albright and his granddaughter, Hazel Rebolledo; a daughter, Cameron Albright; older siblings, Lonnie (Lisa) Albright, Monty Albright, and Brenda Easton. Also surviving are his nieces, Brittney, Christina, Chelsea, Kayla, and Emily; two nephews, Trevor and Arthur; tons of great-nieces and great-nephews; and the mothers of his children, Cassandra (Clevenger) Carpenter and Christina Swihart.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Allan Albright in April, 2014; and mother, Beverly Ann Albright in January, 2015
Dirk deeply loved his children and was endlessly proud of them and everyone who knew him could see it. He had a passion for Mopar cars and a lifelong fascination with anything related to the Titanic. He also loved spending time on his bike, affectionately named "Penelope."
Dirk's favorite movies were Christine, IT, Titanic, and anything starring Jim Carrey, reflecting his great sense of humor and appreciation for both thrills and laughter.
If you knew Dirk, you knew someone who could light up a room. His quick wit, big heart, and love for life made an impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Funeral services will be private.
Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
