Dezarae Nichole Terry, 20 of Wolcottville, Indiana died unexpectedly Friday, June 9, 2023, in Howe.

She was born January 25, 2003, in Kendallville to Chris and Carman (Dazey) Terry.

She worked at HPI Wire Assembly in Angola.

Dezarae loved animals, she was always the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh, especially babies. Her greatest enjoyment was her family, especially her siblings and cousins.

Surviving are her mother, Carman (Nathan Smith) Dazey of Montpelier, Ohio; her father, Chris (Vanessa) Terry of Wolcottville; six siblings, Brody, Kaitlyn, and Shelby Terry of Montpelier, Ohio, Rilynn and Westin Terry of Wolcottville, and Ashtin Yates of Rome City; maternal grandparents, James C. (Rhae) Dazey, II of Kendallville; paternal grandparents, Shelby (Debra A.) Terry of Wolcottville; six aunts and uncles, Michael (Amy) Terry, Dorothy "DJ" (Bruce) Selner, Amanda Simpson, Matthew (Sarah) Dazey, Carrie (Mel) Freeman, and Carla (Trenton) Robbins; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Burial will follow at Brushy Chapel Cemetery near LaGrange.

Honorary casketbearers are Matt Dazey and Nathan Smith. Active casketbearers are Mel Freeman, Trenton Robbins, Brody Terry, Michael Terry, Bruce Selner, and Jack Selner.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Noble County Humane Society or to the family.
