Obituary

A memorial service for Dessie M. "Sue" Henney will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Shepherd of the Hill, Kendallville. Rev. G. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist will officiate. Dessie M. "Sue" (Kizer) Henney died January 1, 2007, at the age of 95. She was born October 22, 1909 in Edgerton, Ohio, to Lake William and Maude Udella (Wilson) Kizer. She retired from McCray Refrigeration in Kendallville after 37 1/2 years. She was a member of Trinity Church United Methodist and Order of Eastern Star, both of Kendallville. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan & Lawrence Raffo of Burlingame, CA; Marsha Henney of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Bettie Smith of Kendallville; a sister-in-law, Elaine Kizer of Auburn; and a brother-in-law, Howard Seidel of Kendallville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; two brothers, Ariel Kizer and Thomas Kizer; and one sister, Scottie Seidel Preferred memorials are to Shepherd of the Hill.
