Obituary

Demaris L. "Dee" Powers, 77, of Kendallville died Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 9:10 a.m. in Lutheran Life Villages.

She was a lifetime area resident.

Ms. Powers had worked at King Seeley and Siebe Production in Kendallville and Seyferts in Fort Wayne.

She was born June 4, 1939 in Kendallville to Oved and Dorothy (McClellan) Powers.

Surviving are a sister, Barbara J. Powers of Kendallville and a brother, Kenneth Powers of Kendallville; and her best friend, Deborah Beaty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Pamela Jenkins; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 22, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, 351 North Allen Chapel Road, Kendallville with Pastor Mike Wakeland officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.

Calling is two hours prior to the service on Monday at the nursing home.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
