Deloris May (Uhl) Peacock, 91, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and formerly of Kendallville left this world on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her residence.

She was born February 22, 1935, in Avilla, Indiana, to Clarence and Ruby (Myers) Uhl.

She was a member of the last graduating class at Avilla High School.

She formerly worked at People’s Trust in Fort Wayne, and Uniform Printing and Tobacco Stop both in Kendallville.

She is survived by her children, Dawnita Williams of Indianapolis, Doran (Kathy) Peacock of Kendallville, and Denise Peacock of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Jeremy Peacock, Jason Peacock, Sarah Williams, and Nicole Tarlton; and four great-grandchildren, Tensley Peacock, Andrew Peacock, Harrison Peacock, and Zayne Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Donnette Linnemeier; her parents, Clarence and Ruby Uhl; and her siblings, Paul Uhl, Ruth Prentice, Edith Whonsettler, Lloyd Uhl, and Floyd Uhl.

We will rejoice in her life and be grateful for everything she did for her family. Deloris was a good woman and is now at peace.

According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Her family will celebrate her life privately.
