Deloris M. "Dee" Boller, 87, of Kendallville died Thursday, December 20, 2012, in the Parkview Heart Institute, Fort Wayne following a brief stay in the hospital.

She has lived in this area for 39 years, moving from Fort Wayne in 1973.

Dee retired in 1980 after working in the office of Allen Industrial Suppliers in Fort Wayne.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville, the Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary, and had been a volunteer for over 17 years at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

Dee will be remembered for her unconditional love of family and friends. She was known as a kind, gentle, patient mother and companion and as a devout Lutheran. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and playing euchre with friends. Her hobbies included traveling, reading, and baking.

She was born June 16, 1925, in Ceresco, Nebraska to Elder W. and Minnie (Ecklund) Almquist. On March 9, 1947, in Ceresco, Nebraska, she married Earl J. Boller. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1992, after 45 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Theriault of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Marge Boller of Chicago, Jim and Ruth Boller of Indianapolis, and John and Jennie Boller of Texas; seven grandchildren, David Boller, Julie Scheurich, Rachel Boller, Amanda Boller, Craig Boller, Jessica Boller, and Jamie Boller; three step grandchildren, Chrystal Marner, Alyssa Cusick, and Jim Snouffer; three great granddaughters, Kailee Helbert, Kaya Boller, and Emma Scheurich; and one step great grandchild, Lucas Marner.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Almquist, and a son-in-law, Ed Theriault.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, 301 South Oak Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Paul B. Griebel officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling is Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, 46755, and one-half hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Preferred memorials are to the Rehwinkel Scholarship Fund in care of St. John Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
