Obituary

Della E. Whetzel, 83, of Hudson died Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hill Nursing Home in Kendallville.

Mrs. Whetzel, a homemaker, had resided on a farm near Hudson since 1964 prior to moving to the nursing home.

She was born February 21, 2925, in Kendallville to Fred and Minnie (Whitzki) Kline.

Surviving are a son, Russell J. Whetzel, Jr. of Hudson; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Owens of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell J. Whetzel, Sr. on July 21, 1994, two brothers and a sister.

Calling will be Monday, September 222, 2008, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Private graveside services will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville with Rev. Paul B. Griebel of St. John Lutheran Church, Kendallville officiating.
