Dean O. McClish, 88, of Kendallville died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
He was born January 12, 1933, in Steuben County, Indiana, to Clarence and Wilma (Hecht) McClish.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
On July 25, 2020, in Kendallville he married Virginia Shepherd. She survives in Kendallville.
Mr. McClish retired from Lincoln Manufacturing in Fort Wayne.
Dean loved antique tractors and going to tractor shows and was a NASCAR fan. He was a professional trap shooter.
Also surviving are two sons, Dave McClish of Auburn and Rick McClish of Auburn; two stepdaughters, Veronica Mosley of Corunna and Kay Hale of Kendallville; four grandchildren, Aaron (Maddie) Meyer, Lindsay Mercier, Bradley (Bridgette) McClish, and Fawn (Justin) Smith; seven step grandchildren, Brooke (Matt) Delcamp, Karina Mosley, Josh Mosley, Dustie Watson, Maegen Wert, Miranda (Johnny) Boston, and Jaeden (Dean) Hale; 16 great-grandchildren, Cora Meyer, Liam Mercier, Kenzie Delcamp, Brody Delcamp, Hunter Delcamp, Lynnex Miller, Oakleigh Miller, Della Miller, Elena Boston, Novalee Watson, MaKayla McClish, Lindsay McClish, Bryson McClish, Kailynn, Olivia, and Jade; and two sisters, Betty (Wayne) Weigus of Angola and Connie (Drew) Vollen of Churubusco.
Visitation is Friday, March 26, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
The funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Bolen officiating.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Pallbearers are Dustie Watson, Doug Jones, Rick McClish, Aaron Meyer, Brad McClish, Troy Chapman and Dave McClish.
Honor Guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard and active duty members of the U.S. Army.
Per the Governor, face masks are required.
Dean's funeral service on Friday will also live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page at 2 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
