Obituary

Dawn Jean (Randol) Hicks, 42, of Kendallville died Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was a lifetime area resident.

Mrs. Hicks had worked at Colwell North America and Tenneco prior to her illness.

She was born June 24, 1973, in Kendallville.

On June 27, 2000, in Corunna she married Matthew Lee Hicks. He survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a stepson, Austin Hicks of Fort Wayne; five nieces and nephews she helped raise, Joseph Smith, Haylea Smith, Isaac Smith, Lilly Smith, and Elijah Gonzales all of Kendallville; and her mother-in-law, Polly Tackett of Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Kelly Banks with New Life House of Worship in Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Corunna Cemetery.

Calling is Monday, December 28, 2015, from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
