David P. Snyder, 62, a well-known Kendallville business man died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:58 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 1, 1956 in Buffalo, New York to Kenneth Paul and Helen Marie (Rosenberger) Snyder.
Dave moved to Kendallville 35 years ago from Buffalo, New York. He was the owner and operator of Snyder's Construction and Snyder's Lock and Key in Kendallville, which he founded 31 years ago.
On June 30, 2006 in Albion, he married Deb Armstrong. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2012.
Surviving are three daughters, April Snyder of Orlando, Florida, Darlene Behnke of Kendallville, and Erica (William) Snyder Masters of Omaha, Nebraska; a son, David K. (Debra) Snyder of Kendallville; ten grandchildren, Sean Snyder, Angela Schocke, Braydon Schocke, Noah Masters, David Masters, Emberlee Masters, Thomas (Traci) Robbins, Joshua (Sherri) Belisle, Cheyenne Snyder, and Payden Snyder; a great-grandson, Jeffrey Belisle; his significant other, Tammi Haviland and her children, James Nichols of South Milford and Shannon (James) Kraushaar of Wolcottville and grandchildren, Hayden Phillips and Kennedy Kraushaar.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael K. Snyder.
Calling is Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
Private funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 with Father Bernard Ramenaden of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Hecht, David K. Snyder, William Masters, James Nichols, James Kraushaar, Sean Snyder, Thomas Robbins, and Joshua Belisle.
