David Arnold McCormick, 68, of Kendallville died on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 10:15 p.m. in his residence.

He was a resident for the past 10 years, moving here from Logansport. He worked Warner Electric as a journeyman electrician and he also worked as a truck driver for four years.

He was born on August 31, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Arnold McCormick and Ethel M. (Lewis) McCormick Guion. On July 21, 1989 in Indianapolis he was married to Betty J. (West) McCormick, who survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are two daughters Kim (husband Paul) Davis of Goshen; Leslie VanOver of Syracuse; six children; three-great grandchildren: Marilyn, Wanda, and Kurtis Campbell. He also leaves behind his mother Ethel M. (Lewis) McCormick Guion, of Texas; and four sisters: Janice Case of Denver, Colorado; Joyce (husband Ron) Donley of Pennsylvania; Mary (husband Robert) Pruski of Texas; and Barbara Jean (husband Loren) Toomsen of Clear Lake, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father Arnold McCormick, and his step-father Charles Raymond Guion.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
