David M. Cobbs, 68, of North Webster and formerly of Wolcottville died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Goshen Hospital in Goshen.
He was born March 18, 1950, in Kendallville to Robert L. and Martha A. (Fiandt) Cobbs. His parents preceded him in death.
On November 21, 1997, in Warsaw he married Katarina N. "Kathy" Werenicz.
He was baptized and grew up going to the EUB Church, now the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville.
Dave graduated from Lakeland High School in 1968, then worked at Utilimaster in Waukarusa.
He loved the outdoors, especially boating, loved his favorite dog, Coal, and was a talented drummer with his band, The Barons.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Cobbs of North Webster; a sister, the Reverend Nancy Jo Cobbs of Houston, Texas; three children, Kimberly, Gretchen, and David; and three stepchildren, Alexander, Thomas and Natalia.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with the Rev. Byron Kaiser of the North Webster United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville at a later date.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, 2108, from 5 to 6 p.m.
