Obituary

Graveside Service: Friday, July 18, 2014 - 3:30 p.m. at Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. ************************************************************************************ David J. Bidwell, 58, of Kendallville died Saturday, July 12, 2014, in his residence.

He was a lifetime area resident, and a 1975 graduate of East Noble High School.

David honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1978.

Mr. Bidwell retired from Dalton Foundry in Kendallville.

David enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, caving/spelunking, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed making stained glass angels and giving them to family and friends. He dearly loved animals and especially his dog, Dolly.

He was born October 20, 1955, in Kendallville to Donald J. and Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Boszor) Bidwell. His father preceded him in death on June 24, 2014. His mother survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Wyman Cross of Wolcottville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Daniel and Linda Bidwell of Avilla, Dennis and Debbie Bidwell of Kendallville, and Dean Bidwell of Kendallville.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 18, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville with Pastor Thomas Clothier of the First Christian Church in Kendallville officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the National Rifle Association.
