Funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 2014, at 12 noon in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Calling is Friday, October 17, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon. *********************************************************************************** Darrell Short, 59, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Albion died Monday, October 13, 2014, at 4:23 p.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He had worked as a machinist at Dana in Syracuse.

He. was born June 25, 1955, in Kentucky to Russell and Janice (Patton) Short.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Tiamarie Skaggs and Kennard Skaggs, III of Fruitland Park, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah and Tracey Short of Wolcottville; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Fern Short, Mimi Lou Short, Jeremiah Darrell Short, II, Zain Michael Clements, and Annabella Marie Clements; his mother, Janice Short of Elkhart; and three brothers, Felix DeWayne (Penny) Short of Wolcottville, Wilt S. (Serena) Short of Wolcottville, and Phillip Short of Rome City.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Jimmy Short and Timothy Scotty Short.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 2014, at 12 noon in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Elder Morris Wicker officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
