Darlene Carol Warner, 65, of Albion, Indiana, died suddenly Sunday, October 31, 2021, at her residence.
She was born August 15, 1956, in Garrett, Indiana, to John Ernest and Phyllis Jean (Koon) Warner. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and caregiver for her son, Travis.
Darlene enjoyed taking photos of everyone, but never cared to be in those photos. Going to Florida, walking on the beach, picking up seashells, and watching the sun set were some of her favorite things to do. She dearly loved being with her grandchildren. She would always put others before herself. She treasured her church family and loved to worship her Lord and Savior.
Surviving are a daughter, Trisha JoAnn (Stan) Budd of Ligonier; three sons, Trevor Lee Wert of Albion, Trenton John (Joy) Wert of New Paris, and Travis John Warner of Albion; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Diana Pankop of Kendallville, Deb (Jim) King of LaGrange, Marsha (Tim) Matheney of New Concord, Ohio, and Marilyn (Richard) Shields of Port Charlotte, Florida; two brothers, Mark Warner of Albion and John (Kathy) Warner, Jr. of LaOtto; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Darlene's life will be Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Bread of Life Tabernacle, 321 East Mitchell Street, Kendallville with Pastor Shawn Kondas and Pastor Brent Wedding officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
Honorary pallbearers are her Fairfield friends, Judy, Twylla, Donna, Martha, Diana, Denise, Carla, Anna, Kim, and Lynne. Active pallbearers are Kenny Pankop, Daven King, David Day, Drew Warner, Adam Warner, Tim Matheney, Ben Matheney, Daniel Matheney, Richie Shields, and Mike Gamble.
Visitation is Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Darlene's funeral service on Thursday will also live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 11 a.m. for those unable to attend.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the Bread of Life Tabernacle for their food pantry or to the family.
