Daniel F. Martin, 73, of Kendallville, Indiana died Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville surrounded by his family.

He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 26, 1949. The only child to Clyde E. and Miriam E. (Zimmerman) Martin.

Mr. Martin was self-employed and operated a body shop at his home for several years along with many other ventures.

He loved old cars and antiques. He faithfully followed East Noble Basketball, and went to as many games as possible, when he couldn't go he listed to the game on the radio. Daniel liked to entertain people either by dressing as Elvis and singing with "Martin Entertainment" or by riding his bike in local parades. But, his greatest enjoyment was his family. He loved his family especially, his grandchildren dearly. His number one sidekick was his son, Kevin, they had a very special bond.

Daniel is survived by a daughter, Bridgett (Todd) Coe of Rome City; a son, Kevin (Lesley) Martin of Kendallville; five grandchildren, Bethany Gibson, Brittney Dangler, Allison Martin, Seth Coe, and Abigail Coe; and five great-grandchildren, Adrian, Andrace, Caelyn, Hailee, and Camden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private graveside services will take place at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
